I am 38 weeks and 2 days pregnant and suffering terribly with carpal tunnel syndrome. I noticed it about 2-3 weeks ago but it has gotten progressively worse and I am now finding it very painful and almost impossible to sleep.
Has anyone suffered with this during pregnancy and how did you deal with it?
My OB has told me that it may not necessarily go away after the birth and I may need to have surgery. Did yours go away or not?

I’m 31 weeks and so far haven’t had any symptoms of carpal tunnel, luckily. But my mom had it really bad when she was pregnant, she wore a wrist brace to sleep every night towards the end and that helped, and as far as I know it went away completely after birth.

I had carpel tunnel before i was pregnant, so i am expecting it to get worse. you will find it gets worse at night especially if you are doing the same task over and over again. I sleep with my hands bandaged at times when it gets worse. i also found taking half and panadol also helped. however check if taking panadol is ok.
