Our dog Holly has that problem. She is on incontinence meds. She is 6yrs old. And we know when we’ve forgotten to give her the meds. On meds, no problems. Off meds, pee all over the place. And she has no idea she’s doing it.

Your vet is the only one who can make a correct diagnosis, not a bunch of strangers online. My spayed bitch has what’s called spay incontinence which is easily taken care of with Proin 50, prescribed by the vet.

Mine did that a few years after she was spayed. The hormones that control the bladder were not there and she did that when she was asleep or just laying down. The vet gave her pills and that did the trick. UTI is also a possibility.

It could simply be a urinary tract infection but I did have a dog once that peed in his sleep at 5 months of age. After many visits to the vet’s and multiple rounds of antibiotics we saw a specialist who determined that he had limited kidney function in both kidneys.
If your vet prescribed antibiotics, be sure to give all the medication prescribed and follow up with urinalysis.
