I was diagnosed with Crohns Disease 15 years ago. It is an autoimmune disease. In my case, my immune system believes that my oesophagus and small intestines is an enemy. My immune system attacks the cells of these areas and it causes them to ulcerate and become thickened and inflamed making food difficult to digest. Symptoms are usually diarrhoea, vomiting and abdominal pain. However, some people can experience constipation instead of diarrhoea. 3 tests that I had done to diagnose my condition were a Barium Meal, a Barium Enema and an MRI. Dramatic weight loss is typical of Crohns Disease in full swing. She would also have a high white blood cell count if she had Crohns Disease.

Medication has solved my problem for the time being and I am in remission. There is no cure and it can reactivate any time it pleases. Some people don’t respond to medication and have to have the diseased section surgically removed. This is not a cure as it can restart in a new place. For people who have had diseased bowel removed, sometimes it is impossible to remove anymore and they will need to have a colostomy bag fitted. It is a very serious condition and if left untreated, can lead to cancer.

If she has this condition, it will be only a matter of time before she has to seek treatment. The pain she will experience will get the better of her.

Well, you should ttry be closer to her.I don`t know what crohns disease is,but if she has cancer it might affect her mental health and lead her to unussual behaviour.Cancer shows in later stages. If she has paler complexion than she usssually did or if some part of her body is weaker or swollen for no known reason.
