Just thought those who replied to my question about our guinea pigwould like to know that she is alive and well. She suffered from heatstroke. We took her to the vet and she gave her an injectionto rehydrate her and is now eating and able to walk again. Would it be wise to put her back with the other guinea pig? She is still quite weak.
Yes in answer to the last answer we do shift the cage around frequently for shade. It just happened to get very hot andwe checked onthem throughout the day.We do bring them inside but we rent so only bring inside for extreme heat and cold.

Wonderful and good that you took her to the Vet.
I would keep her separate

She can probably go back as long as the other pig isn’t bossy. Otherwise, separate.

I would keep her separate until she gets her full strength back!

Don’t you think that if one of your pigs had a heat stroke outside, it may be wise to bring both of them in where it won’t happen again?
