I HAVE A BLACK MAGIC FEMALE LAB AND RECENTLY SHE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A TORN ACL IN HER LEFT KNEE. She is 9 years old and the vets recommendation is to keep her on medications for a while as she is not a candidate for surgery because of her age and the cost to me as going through chapter 13 currently. Trying the conservative method and seeing if that helps or not and keeping her a quiet as possible. Also wondering if she would be a good candidate for a dog wheelchair if it comes to that point. Trying some holistic pain and hip medication to see if that works. H ave also tried a (GINGER LEAD) sling for back support and it has not worked as she is absolutely terrified of it and plants her feet and will not move even with treats in front of her. Do not want to make matters worse by pulling on her good legs as well as her injured one. J ust wondered if anyone else had gone the conservative treatment before with their dogs and ACL injuries and how it ended. Also open to comments or suggestions Thank you
