I started my diet on Saturday. I am using http://www.sparkpeople.com to count my calories, carbs, cholesterol, protein, etc. I am supposed to consume between 1500-1850 calories a day. The first day I felt like I was starving but ever since that day I have felt full for hours after I eat. Before I started this diet I was always hungry. Yesterday I only ate 1400 calories and I couldn’t eat any more. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? I have been eating a lot of egg beaters since they are so low in calories and they fill me up.
I am 5’6" and I weigh about 190.

Nope, your doing fine.
The trick is to make sure you body isnt storing calories. This means you have to measure.
But gradual reductions in calories is the best approach. Sudden cuts, sends signals to your body to store more energy in the form of bodyfat, which of course isnt your goal. So easy does it with any cuts.
I wouldnt cut more btw. You need calories to be able to be yourself. Cut too much, and you’re mode and energy level will follow, and you’ll end up breaking your progress because your too hungry.
BTW: Egg beaters are fine, but natural egg whites are better. Just toss the yokes. Its not being wasteful! treat the yoke as part of the shell.
