Any tips on healthy eating so I can lose weight a little faster?

    Not bad enough they bombard our email inboxes with that acai berry crap, now they’re spamming us here?

    Anyway …

    You’re not a monkey, so while apples, grapes, etc., aren’t unhealthy (you should eat at least 3 servings of fruit a day), you need a good solid diet, mostly vegetables, some meat, maybe 3 ounces a day (or rice and beans if you want to stay away from meat – but you need two essential amino acids that you can’t get from any other food [liquid garbage in a can isn't food, it's profit - for the manufacturer]).

    You also need to increase the amount you burn, but not by vigorous exercise. Doing that makes your metabolism change gear while you exercise, making more of less food (becoming more efficient), so you don’t really burn much more during that 30 minute workout than you would have without the workout.

    Walk, don’t ride. Park a block away from where you’re going, or at the far end of the parking lot. Take the stairs, not the elevator. Walk to your friend’s house, don’t call. In short, do what human beings have been doing for the 8 million or so years that we’ve been human beings. We weigh too much (I’m not excluding myself) because food’s too easy to get, we eat the wrong kinds (we never developed a tolerance for simple carbs) and we’re lazy. Eat well and use your body and you won’t have a weight problem unless you have a medical problem.
