Im 5’4 & 94lbs. Ana has helped me in coping but I cant keep ana but without her Im not going to stay alive. If I keep her Im not going to be alive. I have tried to be in recovery but I failed & now I want her in my life. She keeps me out of the hospital. Usually I have already been in this spring & summer but I havent I believe its because of going to ana. Anas the best coping skill even though its the most hurtful. I realize this doesnt make any sense to a lot of people but maybe someone on here will think it does make sense & give me advise. I cant afford to go inpatient right now. My parents think that Im at a healthy weight even though they know how much I weigh. They dont see the sypmtoms I see and since mom is on a dieting she thinks that I should eat as much as she does which is actually less than she does because she eats several times a day & I eat once a day.
I see a nurse once a week she doesnt know how low I got but she knows all about ana.
Sorry its confusing.

I have a friend who somehow survived approx 15 years of ana/bul, and is doing great now, and I did a ton of reading on it, so I understand a little bit of what you are talking about. I do know that it’s not a "she should just stop doing that" type of thing. And I also know that one of the toughest things about recovery is that sometimes even the people who care about you the most have no idea what will help you and what won’t.
It sounds like you understand it well, and that you’ve been through many cycles of it – and I respect you for that, and especially for you recognizing that you are going downhill when everyone around you doesn’t believe you. It’s like a double-whammy isn’t it? I bet you feel like you are losing your health and your family support at the same time (even if they don’t mean it).
It’s such a tough situation and I don’t know what will ‘fix’ it, but I do know that you’re right for feeling the way you do.
Hugs to you!

you need to tell someone other that your parents if they won’t listen. talk to another adult, anyone who will tell your parents that they’re wrong, and that you need help, because you do.
I really, really hope you get thru this ok.
Good luck!

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.
